Invisalign® in Dundee

Removable and comfortable braces

A smile can change everything: Your confidence. Your outlook. Your life. And with Invisalign®, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. In fact, it barely has to impact your day-to-day life at all.

Invisalign® straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every week, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position. Comfortable, clear and removable – Invisalign® transforms your smile without disrupting your life. Something that over 5 million people worldwide have already discovered.

We know that a straight smile often means a healthy smile. Not only will Invisalign® clear dental braces for adults straighten your teeth, they will also improve your overall dental health at the same time!

Why choose Invisalign®?

Improved oral health -  the metal wires and brackets of traditional fixed braces often trap food, which can lead to a build of up plaque and eventually tooth decay. As Invisalign® clear dental braces are made of plastic and are removable, you can continue to brush and floss as you normally would to maintain good oral hygiene.

Big changes from small movements - after starting your treatment, it won’t take long until you notice a big difference in your smile. Your Invisalign® aligners are custom-made with proprietary SmartTrack material. They fit snugly over your teeth and are clinically proven to improve control of movement, gently moving your teeth and even rotating them when needed.

Moving even when you’re not - as the Invisalign® system discreetly does its work, life can continue as normal. Invisalign® aligners are trimmed to your exact gum line so you can comfortably wear your aligners for the recommended 22 hours a day with little disruption. Even when you’re not moving, your teeth will be.

Don’t let anything get in your way - Invisalign® clear aligners are removable, so you can continue to do all the things you normally do, from brushing and flossing to eating whatever you like. And because they are nearly invisible, people are more likely to notice your changing smile than the aligners themselves.

Digital Dentistry with iTero

iTero intraoral scanning

Our investment in the latest technology includes iTero intraoral scanning for Invisalign® clear aligner therapy. Invisalign® cases that start with an iTero scan have seven times fewer fit issues than those started with traditional impressions.

The iTero scanner also eliminates the mess and unpleasantness associated with traditional impressions. Treatment is completely comfortable for the patient.

Not only that, there are 10 times fewer rejections of iTero scans than traditional impressions. Your dentist can make real-time adjustments to the simulated outcome.

Not just for Invisalign®

iTero is not just used for Invisalign®. It is used for crowns, bridgework, veneers, and implant restorations. The fit is better than traditional impressions and the results are returned from the lab quicker. Your dentist can export scans directly from the iTero Element interface to CAD software and milling partners, for faster, more precise restorations.

We use the iTero for the following:

  • Full mouth assessment
  • Tooth wear monitoring
  • Recession monitoring

Simulated treatment outcomes

iTero scanners are not just impression taking devices. They’re much more than that. You'll be able to see potential Invisalign® treatment outcomes within 1 minute with the Invisalign® Outcome Simulator. This chairside application is powered exclusively by iTero scanners to help you visualise how your teeth may look at the end of Invisalign® treatment. With highly accurate software like TimeLapse, you'll be also be able to see how your teeth are moving over time.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PRONE TO GAGGING TO HATE THE OLD GOOP-FILLED DENTAL IMPRESSION TRAYS

Even under the best of conditions, traditional impressions were still uncomfortable, occasionally unreliable and unpleasant tasting. That’s why we’re proud to offer goop-free, full digital impressions with the revolutionary iTero® Element™ Scanner. Not only is a digital impression more comfortable, it’s also much more accurate. The scanner takes an incredibly detailed impression of your teeth and gums. Once the scan is complete, your dentist will then have a 3D model of your mouth that can be used to create detailed crowns, bridges, implants, and Invisalign® clear aligners and retainers. This digital accuracy eliminates the need to retake impressions, keeping your time in the chair to an absolute minimum.

FAQs

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® treatment is a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. Using advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, Invisalign® shows you your complete treatment plan based on your dentist’s prescription, from the initial position of your teeth towards the final desired position. Then a series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little.

How does Invisalign® work?

Invisalign® aligners move teeth through a series of carefully controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® treatment not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, but also the timing of the movement. So, at each stage, only certain teeth can move, following the Invisalign® treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery system.

How much does Invisalign® cost?

As with other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign® treatment depends on the complexity of your teeth straightening issue and your course of treatment. As a general rule, the cost for adults is comparable to traditional fixed braces and is typically between £2,500 and £5,500, although if only minor tooth movement is required, prices could start from £1,500. Please see our fees page.
